TRAFFIC INTERVENTIONS IN THE CITY OF KO

The project included traffic interventions in central streets of the city of Kos, with the aim of increasing road safety at high-risk junctions.

Specifically, it was foreseen:
  • the construction of a new F400 and F315 cross section rainwater network
  • the construction of a new dividing island of traffic lanes
  • local extensions of sidewalks and bike lanes
  • the scraping of the old asphalt carpet and the laying of a new asphalt traffic layer
  • the placement of vertical and horizontal markings
  • the planting of islands and sidewalks with trees, shrubs and grass
